Tateyama Ropeway
From April 10th to November 30th.
You take an aerial tramway from Kurobe daira to Daikanbou (approx. 1.7km).
Nyakuichi Ouji Shrine
A shrine built to resemble the town of Oomachi in Kyoto, and was constructed by Nishina Morito during the Kamakura era.
There is a model of this shrine in front of the elevator on the 2nd floor of our hotel.
Matsumoto Castle
Entrance time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
One of the four national castle of Japan. It takes about 60 minutes to get to Matsumoto castle by car from the hotel.
Takase Dam / Takase Valley
From end of April to November 30th.
An important dam, made from stacks of rocks, set amidst a beautiful mountainous landscape.
You can also visit the power station here (free / reservation needed).
About 7km from the hotel.
Kamikochi
Beginning of April to beginning of November.
One of the most picturesque places in Japan.
2 hours by car from the hotel.
Ski slope
Beginning of December to beginning of April.
10 minutes by car to Jiigatake and 20 minutes by car to Sun Alpina Kashimayari from the hotel.
It will be 35 minutes by car to Hakuba Goryu.
Nishinasanko
Nishina’s three lakes - Kizaki, Nakatsuna and Aoki in the North Alps - are collectively referred to as “Nishina sanko”.
Along with their natural beauty, they are very precious from a geological perspective.
Nishina Shinmeiguu
Designated as a national treasure, Nishina Shinmeiguu stands as a preservation of important cultural artefacts, and is one of the oldest examples of “shinmei”-style architecture.
